The Muslim who Died While Rescuing Non-Muslims from Genocide, in Defiance of the United Nations

By Shoebat Foundation on April 6, 2014

His name was Mbaye Diagne and in 1994, he saved hundreds of lives in Rwanda, including Marie-Christine Umuhoza, the daughter of the murdered Prime Minister Agathe Uwilingiyimana, who was also the first woman to hold that position in Rwanda. While Diagne was certainly going against an overwhelming current of genocide that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Rwandans, this one man is credited with saving 600 people from suffering the same fate.
What’s not presented in the video above is that Diagne was a “devout Muslim” according to a separate BBC report. That’s important to the story because in addition to defying U.N. orders not to get involved, there is absolutely no indication that Diagne sought to rescue Muslims alone. In fact, a detailed report on Agathe Uwilingiyimana suggests that the family was Catholic. Names like “Agathe” and “Marie-Christine” do as well.

As Shoebat.com reported recently, a Muslim woman in Iraq named Umm Muayyid, who reached her limit and has taken up arms against terrorists. As we’ve seen in Egypt, secular Muslims are actually doing more to fight the Muslim Brotherhood and protect the Coptic Christians than supposedly Christian countries. Ditto with Syria.

If you were a Christian under constant threat of being terrorized by jihadists, who would you rather have working to protect you – someone like Mbaye Diagne or a western Christian who refuses to acknowledge the persecution of Christians at all?
