The French Government Has a New Name for ISIS… and It Has Them FURIOUS

Since the barbaric militant group began making headlines by slaughtering their way across the Middle East, the violent terrorist organization has undergone a number of name changes from ISIS to ISIL, to just the Islamic State. But the French government announced that they have their own unique name for the group, and it’s infuriating the terrorists.

The French government announced that going forward they would now be referring to the group by a new name: “Daesh.”

The name change was announced this past week by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who asked the media and journalist to adopt the new name change for one reason:

“This is a terrorist group and not a state. I do not recommend using the term Islamic State because it blurs the lines between Islam, Muslims and Islamists. The Arabs call it ‘Daesh’ and I will be calling them the ‘Daesh cutthroats.’”

As to the exact translation of the word Daesh, it is complicated since the term started as kind of an of acronym and morphed into something meaning “to thread underfoot, trample down, crush.”

Although it has an ambiguous meaning, one thing is for certain: The terrorist group hates it.

According to the Associated Press, the group has threatened to cut the tongue out of anyone caught using the name in public.

As the Islamic State is not actually a state, it’s a simple weapon against the ruthless group since it undermines the group’s legitimacy in the region.

Seems like a brilliant idea to me! After all, ISIS s not a “state,” they are a terrorist organization.

We will call them Daesh Savages!! -BBJ
